What is one piece of advice you’d give someone new to insurance?
If you’re looking for a career that’s always evolving and full of opportunities, insurance is where it’s at! Love learning? You’ll never run out of designations and certifications to chase. Big on numbers? Actuarial and accounting roles are waiting for you. More of a techie? The industry needs your skills to power the future. Whatever your passion, there’s a path for you here!

What is the most rewarding part of working for a family-owned, local agency?
Hands down—it’s the family feel. I’m not just another number here; I truly have a voice, and I feel seen. There’s something so special about being part of a close-knit team where everyone matters.

What is your favorite part of the day in your role, and why?
Meeting clients face-to-face is the best part of my day. Those conversations go beyond business—they build real connections, and that’s where trust and long-term relationships are formed.

If you could go anywhere next, where would it be and why?
Africa is at the top of our list! My husband and I both adore animals, and seeing wildlife up close on safari would be an absolute dream come true.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten—or still live by?
An old boss once told me, “If you have time to lean, you have time to clean.” I’ve spun that into my own life motto: “If I have time to talk about it, I have time to do something about it.” It keeps me proactive and focused—less talk, more action!
