My most outstanding business accomplishment has been mentoring others to build a stronger, more successful team. Over my 28 years in the industry, I’ve learned that true leadership is about recognizing the individual strengths of each team member—both men and women—and creating an environment where those strengths are amplified. By sharing the knowledge and skills I’ve gained, I’ve helped others grow in their own careers, which in turn has made our team more efficient, collaborative, and successful. Watching team members step into leadership roles themselves has been incredibly rewarding and reaffirms my belief that investing in people is the best investment a business can make.

What is one piece of advice you’d give someone new to insurance?
My best advice for anyone wanting to join this amazing industry is to keep learning. Insurance is always evolving- regulations, technology and client needs change constantly. Stay sharp with certifications, industry news and continuous education. Surround yourself with mentors, peers and allies. Networking open doors to opportunities, referrals and valuable support.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten—or still live by?
Don’t hesitate, don’t have doubts because life starts at the edge of your comfort zone.

A memorable moment (big or small) that shapes who you are today?
A memorable moment or many moments in my life is seeing how hard my mom worked to support and raise us to become who we are. As an immigrant, her hard work and perseverance have not only overcome countless challenges but have also inspired and guided me, playing a vital role in shaping my career.
