What is one piece of advice you’d give someone new to insurance? 
Insurance is ever evolving, never assume you know an answer, don’t be afraid to say “I don’t know”  Be sure that you have a path for ongoing education.  You can never have enough.

What is the most rewarding part of working for a family-owned, local agency?  
Most of my 47 years in insurance have been part of family owned/local agencies.  Family owned businesses have their very own ambiance. Client first no matter the situation.  Family owned and operated recognize the value of their staff and work with the thought that they treat their employees the way that they want to be treated and expect their clients to be treated with the same respect.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten—or still live by? 
Those things that don’t kill you make you stronger.

What is your favorite way to unwind when you’re off the clock? 
On the patio with a book and the new additions to our lives, Charly a rescue cat who sports camouflage fur, and Quincy a bi colored red Australian Shepard that acts as the seeing eye dog for Murphy our rescue terrier of 15 years who is totally blind.
