What is one piece of advice you’d give someone new to insurance?
Every day is an opportunity to learn more about this ever-changing business.  What is today might not be tomorrow, so don’t be ashamed of not knowing it all or saying you’ll need to research something.  Ask for help when you are overwhelmed – the good thing is the “overwhelmed” part does not last long and The Fee Folks are a great resource!

What is the most rewarding part of working for a family-owned, local agency?
It’s nice to know the owners on a personal level, the doors are always open, and they’ve pretty much seen it all so they “keep calm and carry on” no matter what – quite inspiring actually, considering the stuff I’ve thrown at them!

What is one thing you’re really into outside the office?
Cowboy-ing (That is gathering cattle, not gathering cowboys, Janelle!)  We’ve been helping our kids with their cattle operation, and we are enjoying that a lot!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten—or still live by?  
“This, too, shall pass.”

Do you have a pet or plant—tell us about them (or your dream one)! 
3 mules, 2 horses, 2 dogs, and 1 cat!  They each have their own pet-onality & they make me laugh every day.  Some of them are absolutely worthless, (I won’t say which ones!) but I wouldn’t take a million dollars for any of ‘em.

What is your favorite way to unwind when you’re off the clock? 
Sitting in the back yard, under that big shade tree, watching the flames in the firepit, and sipping the adult beverage of the day.  It’s the best!
